Eureka!

I think I figured out the problem I was having putting pictures on my blog. For some reason the Beta version of eblogger, does NOT like Adobe, which is the program I always use to download and edit my photos. I tried for two days to post pictures of our recent Deadwood trip, to no avail. I managed to post a picture at work during my lunch hour, but when I got home tonight I still couldn't post photos from here. Back to the drawing board for me! I finally had the "near genius" idea to post the pictures from my Microsoft photo editing program and it worked! Problem solved for now. Although I really like Adobe for photo editing, I guess I won't be using it for pictures I want to put on the blog. Mystery solved.

Deadwood revisited

Kool Deadwood Nights was a blast again this year. We were there for four days, but only one day was dry enough to bring out the camera.

There are some beautiful old buildings downtown.

The Bullock Hotel was named after Seth Bullock; if you are a fan of the HBO series 'Deadwood' you know he was a sheriff back in the day.

Now that IS odd! I can download pictures to my blog from work, but not from home. Either something is going on with my home computer or they fixed something on eblogger today.

Deadwood--not the series

We just got back from Deadwood. It rained most of the time we were there so I didn't take many pictures. I did take a few and would love to post them but for some reason, I have not been able to. I am getting error messages in both IE and Firefox. I asked eblogger for help, but so far, everything they have told me to try has failed. From the sound of the comments on their beta forum, there are many others with the same problem. I am definately regretting switching to the beta version.

Why Larry should never go on vacation

Every year Larry, our district technician, goes on a 2 week family vacation. Every year we "decorate" his office while he's gone. He has started to dread the first day back....I wonder why?

I'm so EXCITED!!!!!

I am getting a new digital camera! My brother and dad are buying it for my birthday. I can hardly contain myself...I am so excited. I actually had a dream about it last night. I guess that sounds kind of pathetic--do I need to get a life? Anyway, I am getting a Canon Rebel XT and all the accessories that go with it, including a wonderful telephoto lens. I am a spoiled woman! I will be picking it up next week and then watch out....I will be photo-blogging up a storm!
