A whole lotta nothing going on...

I have absolutely nothing witty or funny or even mildly interesting to say lately, so I've not posted a thing in awhile.

I've been busier than usual at work and have not even had time to visit your blogs and for that I apologize.
Things are vewwy vewwy good, but I've been vewwy vewwy busy! I have taken on, once again, more work than I should, and since I am me and all, i feel I must have it all done before I allow myself to go to Denver to visit my son.

Yes, you heard it here...I'm going to Denver to see Wolf for Easter! It will be a quick trip, but well worth it.

I will try to take lots of pictures and maybe even post one or two from there...I know, I know...famous last words.

None-the-less, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Oh, I do have one semi-funny thing to report. At a meeting yesterday I saw a woman I hadn't seen in nearly a year. She took one look at me and said, "you look gaunt, have you been sick?" I laughed and said that I had not been sick, in fact I felt better than I had in years.

When I got home I looked up the word gaunt. According to Dictionary.com it means:

gaunt–adjective, -er, -est.
1. extremely thin and bony; haggard and drawn, as from great hunger, weariness, or torture; emaciated.
2. bleak, desolate, or grim, as places or things: a gaunt, windswept landscape.
My hope is that she meant 1. extremely thin and bony rather than haggard and drawn or worse yet bleak, desolate or grim...

And FYI, I am far from thin and bony (although looking at my most recent picture, some might say I am a bit haggard--haha!!).

Hugs and much love to you all, some even more than others (you know who you are).

Have fun, Laurie. Don't forget your compass.

Your sense of humor is still shining - you are not desolate or grim, at all!

She threw down the Gauntlet did she? How dare she!
Your honor demands satisfaction!

Challenge her to a duel..that would make an awesome post.

Oh! How great to spend Easter with precious Wolf! Yes, take pictures. Give your son a hug from me - he's such a wonderful person.

As for that 'gaunt' remark.

Hmmmm. Me thinks she might be a titch jealous of your new svelte self.

Have a fabulous trip.

Big Hug and Love,
Cathy

Thomas, I promise to take lots of pix!

Butterfly, I know, perhaps I should invest in some face cream?

Littlepea, I most certainly will!

Dave, ;-) I will hon, thanks.

Squirl, I haven't been either, life just keeps getting in the way, n isn't it grand? :-)

Mary, I have Marcia, my navigator. I picked it up from my cousin's house in Billings today. I don't dare go without her...I'd probably end up in Mexico.

Nick, I am anything but gaunt. I think she was just surprised by the weight I'd lost.

Pink, you crack me up too!!!

Donn, I think I can take her!!

Cathy, she's really a sweet lady, I think she was just surprised when she saw me and said the first thing she thought. When she found out I wasn't sick, she quizzed me as to how I'd slimmed down and I was happy to tell her. We are actually going to start walking together when the weather clears. :-)

Hugs and much love to all of you. I'll post again from Denver (hopefully).

i use the word 'gaunt' a lot but only to describe teen girls with eating disorders.

i was glad to see you post again; it is always fun to read your daily doings.
