I resemble that remark

I recently joined Freecycle.

If you don't already know, the Freecycle network is a non-profit organization serving to help people and reduce the amount of waste going into landfills. I joined the local group in order to find homes for several items I no longer had a use for.

People who need an item, or have an item to give, email the group moderator who either approves or denies the request. If approved, it is emailed out to all the members who then respond to the individual.

Today as I was reading requests from folks on Freecycle, I came upon this one:

Gordon S
[CoeurdaleneFreecycleTM] seeking marbles.

As sorry as I am to hear that Gordon has lost his, it gave me an idea. Since I seem to be in a similar situation, I think I will try asking for some myself.

Or, perhaps. Laurie, Gorden never had any marbles with which to begin.

Damn! Screw that! Make it "to begin with." There are soime sentences one must end with a preposition.

I have never heard of this; I approve! I hate throwing out anything - I want it all recycled and reused.

That is AWESOME! It reminds me of an old Bloom County cartoon (am I dating myself with that? Oh well) of going up to a store's Lost and Found department and telling them that they had lost their marbles. I have always wanted to do that...

When I was young we called them aggies so they would not be confused with what adults lost when they went crazy.

I just hauled a lot of stuff to the dump which my tenant left behind. Lots of good sh't but I wanted to get rid of every remnant of her. I did feel guilty. I did find a home from some of it, lots of crafts stuff, gaming toys and contraptions, three pet rabbits and six bags of clothes to the diabetic association bin.

Nick, you could be right. I'm starting to wonder if I ever had any as well...

Ur-Spo, it's a good idea, for sure.

Heather, I loved Bloom County cartoons!

Tossing, I have heard them called that before!

Jock, you are too kind...and it is awesome to see you again! I have missed you so...

That's too funny, Laurie. Wish it were as simple as finding marbles. I hope everything is moving in the direction you desire.
