I'll Be Seeing You

I'LL BE SEEING YOU
(Irving Kahal / Sammy Fain)

Recorded by Jimmy Durante

I'll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces
All day through

In that small cafe
The park across the way
The children's carousel
The chestnut trees, the wishing well

I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summers day
In everything that's light and gay
I'll always think of you that way

I'll find you in the morning sun
And when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon
But I'll seeing you.

Good night, Mr. Petersen, wherever you are...

Oh, Laurie, it must be heartbreaking to see all of these smiling pictures of Dale. I hope that you are well and being kind to yourself. As always, I am thinking of you.

I always get teary eyed whenever I absorb the lyrics of this song.

Wherever Dale is now, I am sure he is smiling at you.

This is all part of the healing. But with you and your wonderful son his legacy goes on. Both of you are great people. With the love and hope you both have you are making this a better place. Dale will always be with you and now he is a small part of us.

As everyone else has said, I'm sure he was with you. He's probably still with you.

Laurie, I am revisiting. The music is wonderful and so fitting for Dale, a man I never me but I feel I know. I wish I could have shook his hand. What a brave soul he is. And you...

This is just beautiful.

It fits. So is Dale. So are you. So is Wolf.

Smiles. And warm embraces.

Carol, I have been making photo albums for the relatives, chronically Dale's trip to Denver. It hasn't been easy, but the family seems to love having them so it's worth it. Thank you for thinking of me.

Jen, he was such a beautiful person and I know he is still here with us. Thank you.

Chani, we did. The whole memorial honored his life. The music was jazz, the program had a photo of his project car on it (1938 Chevy) and most of his family and freinds attended. Thank you for thinking of us.

Menchie, thank you, I know that he is...

Thomas, thank you so much.

Pam, thank you, you are in mine as well. *hugs*

Mary, I feel that he is doing that. He's drinking an iced Dasani playing with his beloved dogs. His mom and my mom and Aunt Helga are there with him. I know it in the depths of my soul. Thank you.

Dave, I believe that Dale will always be with us. He is in my heart and in my head. I will always treasure the time we had together and so will Wolf.

Mspea, thank you so much for thinking of us.

Squirl, always and forever...

Nick, one of my favorites too. Thanks.

Naturewoman (Pam), thank you dear lady. I'm sending you hugs as well. *hugs*

Mary, I keep listening to the CD, it brings back so many beautiful memories. Thank you for revisiting.

Tiger, thank you. I am doing just that.

WW, it does fit him. Thank you for the hugs. They are much appreciated.

Laurie - When I last came to your blog, I'd missed this sweet post you did with the lyrics and Dale's picture. I heard the music, but just read the post about flooding.

He had the sweetest demeanor. Hope you're doing OK. How is Wolf? OK, too, I hope.
