Because it's all about me...

You've all seen the before pictures. My lovely feet, covered in dirt from a day of yard work. A productive day, I must say, but it did take a toll on my feet, which weren't very lovely to begin with.

After looking at the photo (above) for a short while (it's all my stomach could take) I decided to take a cue from Sherry and treat myself to a little spa time. I had my hair done and had a (heavenly) pedicure and manicure.

I've had quite a bit of spa time in the last several months because my wonderful and most splendid son spoiled me rotten while I was with him in Denver taking care of Dale. He paid for two facials, leg waxing (I'm not sure his motives were pure on that "present"), a couple of haircuts and 2 pedicures. Am I a lucky mom or what?

I've become somewhat accustomed to being doted on, so I decided to pamper myself a bit. And since I've been a little short of blogging time lately, I decided to document the process photographically and share it with you all.

Disclaimer: I will not be responsible for any psychological dam
age that may be caused by viewing the following photos.

Well I'll be dipped in wax! Ha ha!! It was hot, hot, hot, but it felt really really good!

Especially when she took it off!

And there you have it, the final product...the end result. The color on my toenails, by the way, is called Tequila Sunset. Isn't it beautiful (the polish, certainly NOT the toes)?

I have a busy weekend ahead. It's our annual car show and we will be bustin' our tails putting it on. It's a great time, though, and one I've been looking forward to for quite some time. Rest assured, there will be pictures.

By the way, this is the car we will be driving this weekend.

It's a 1938 Chevy 2-door sedan.

Isn't it a suhweeeeet ride?

I hope you all have as fantastic a weekend as I plan on having!

Oh Laurie,
I am so proud of you!!!!
Yes, pedicures are an important part of life!
The wax is hot but my it does feel good. I have been very good about wearing shoes outside, most of the time, since I had my last pedi. I also have been good about lotion and sleep socks at night.
Very cool car! Very.
Have fun, drink lots of water and put your feet up whenever you get a chance.
Your toes are cute!
You my dear are, walking in beauty!!

The car is really cool. And I would love to have the hot wax on my feet. That looks soooo good.

You still should not expect an offer to become a foot model. At least you don't have a scar on you big toe, as I do, from trying to cut your toe off with a chainsaw.

The car is cool. My neighbour has a 1938 buick in his shed still in nice shape but a great candidate for restoration.

Does that Chevy have a rumble seat. They were such fun to ride in.

Rhea, ha ha! I don't blame you. Don't I have the worlds ugliest feet?

AC, it's a wonderful ride. Come visit and we'll drive you around in it.

Dave, it felt divine and that's a fact. I plan to have a splendid weekend for sure. Thanks and hugs.

Q (Sherry), it was wonderful, I'm so glad you blogged about it. I found a great place to have it done right here in town!

Catnapping, you won't regret it. It's really an incredible feeling.

Squirl, the car is so much fun, and so is the wax. :-)

Tossing, you are going to give me complex about my feet (just teasin" I know they are ugly). The car doesn't have a rumble seat, but the back seat is HUGE!

KC, I'm so sorry! Ha ha ha!!

Jen, OMIGOD that is too funny!

You have lovely feet (at the end of the story), Laurie! I've never had a pedi - my feet are ticklish but I'm going to have one with my daughter soon.

Nice ride! Enjoy your weekend!

I have never had a formal pedicure. :( Maybe someday.

So you’re all spa-ed up and ready to play in that wonderful automobile! You are blessed as much as you are a blessing, Laurie.

Laurie, is that your neighborhood behind the car? I really like that! Love those houses!
