The best son in the universe!!!

Yes, as if you didn't already know it, I have the best son in the universe. When he heard I was moving (according to him it was long overdue), he ordered these for me on Amazon.com. Isn't he the most thoughtful son?

And speaking of the move...

The apartment finally has heat! Yes folks, a brand spankin' new heating and air conditioning system is up and running. I had moved a lot of things in while freezing my tushy off, but now I can officially get the heck out of Dodge and into my own digs.

I had planned to move my chaise lounge, bed, dresser and numerous boxes today, but a howling wind and wet wet snowstorm settled in upon us so that may have to wait for tomorrow.

I'm leaving a lot of things with R. I'm mainly taking the things that have sentimental value and things we had two of. Not that I think R would accuse me of taking more than my fair share, but "someone else" most likely would, so I'm not taking any chances. I just want the drama to end.

I'll keep you all posted and post some pictures when I finally get everything moved in.

Hugs to all.

It is my understanding that there are several 'schools' of Feng Shui and that if you mix them, it can be worse than not doing it at all. Maybe it would be better to just stick withon book or hire a pro to help you with it.

Sister, I think my son got that memo, the books are both by the same author! Thanks so much.

Ursp, ha! Maybe someone will send me a fifth of tequila?

Your son is awesome. I hope my son and I have the same relationship when he grows up. Good luck on the move. :D

Great! Wonderful books! Moving is the best time to institute feng shui. After one is “settled”—if one ever is—it’s difficult to implement the needed changes. At least, that’s been my experience.

Good luck with your new beginning! My advice- never go cheap. If you can't afford what you want now, do without until you can get what you want.

I have a desk I bought twelve years ago thinking, "I'll just use this piece-of-crap desk until I can afford a better one." The catch is, I could never bring myself to buy a new desk, because I've already got one.

(I feel sorry for R and his Drama Queen. I don't foresee a happy ending there.)

Your son is a great guy. When you get yourself all settled we would love to see some photos.

Your son is such a sweetie to you.

I have a book on Feng Shui somewhere in my books. People made fun of me for reading it and implementing a few ideas, but the simple arrangement of things in one's home for a peaceful energy about the home just makes good sense.

I hope you don't stress over this. Why not just something together than you like and are comfortable with? Not that you asked to hear my wisdom, but sometimes I can't seem to help myself. :)

Your son rocks! I have a little champagne in my fridge, left over from the holidays, as soon as you are in your new digs for good, I will have a glass and raise it to you and your new home.
