Pitter Patter

It's a given...if I wash and detail my car, straighten my hair and take a walk without a coat, it will rain. Granted, all of these things have to happen within a 24 hour time span for the power of the cosmos to trigger torrential downpours, but it never fails to happen. Clouds in the sky or no...the rains will come.

That could be just enough to frustrate or upset me, but only if I let it and today I chose not to.

Instead I listened intently to the birds...they love the rain, and so did I.

And I smelled the fresh cut grass and the newly bloomed flowers...and the odor was amazing...the smell of spring.

And I looked at the clouds...they weren't gray, they were a mottled combination of silver and white.

And I looked at the children playing in the puddles...and the elderly couple enjoying the pitter patter of the rain on their roof from the sanctuary of their front porch and thought...life IS good.

What a wonderful discovery. It is awesome when you see and smell and feel the spirituality in all things in this world. It gives you a knowing that you are one with all. Your energy and love is shining in this post. Thank you for sharing your feelings and your experience. I needed this to relearn the wonders of nature.

Dear Lauri,
Being awake and mindful is a joyous way to live.
I too choose to love the rain and the sun and all that nature offers.
Namaste,
Sherry

Squirl, I am such a lucky woman.

Lynne, we just need to remind ourselves to look, don't we?

Merrily, it can be hard, but I'm finding that the more I do it, the easier it becomes. Go figure! LOL!

Kritter, by now, hopefully, the stress will have passed. Sure hope so...

Ur-spo, that I am.

Dave, thank you...you are such a sweetie.

Q, I know you do...that's why I love your blog so much.

Pea, that is so kind of you to say. Thank you.

I have the same problem with rain--I get ready to head out & walk the dog--bang; it rains. Never fails. Of course, it has to be a rainy day to begin with.
This does not happen, of course, on a bright sunny day.
