They Say It's Your Birthday....

My co-workers surprised me for my birthday by decorating my workspace. It was definately a shock, because my birthday isn't until Friday. Can you feel the love?
(Please excuse the quality of the photo, I used the work camera)

Thanks Courtney! I can't believe I'm turning the big 5-0. As my 83 year old dad says, getting old isn't that great, but it's better than the alternative.

Hehe happy almost birthday mom. Looks like they were smart and planned ahead.

They sure did. They thought I would stay home on the official day so as to avoid the fuss.

Awwww, thanks Karen. It has been a great week so far. My brother said turning 50 was pretty hard for him, but so far I seem to be taking it all in stride. Tomorrow may be different though...I might want to pull the shades and lie in bed all day. If so, I am demanding a bottle of good wine (whine) and some bon-bons.

Happy Birthday! Thanks for the note for my mom's birthday, too! She did have a nice day and I hope you did, too! I hope you weren't trying to keep it a secret at work, 'cause I think they outed you,... in a big way! ::hugs::

That they did Kiki, it really was a nice surprise. I'm glad your mom had a special day. Mine, other than work, was an extremely low key thing. The highlight was talking to my son on the phone.

A very happy, if somewhat belated, birthday to you. Hope it was wonderful. I passed the big 5-0 a few years back and lived to tell, so there is hope on the horizon.

It's good to know there is hope...I was beginning to wonder.
