Final Throes

I am in the final throes of my super secret Christmas project. No rest for the weary, wicked, or whatever. Even the cats don't have the time or energy to post today, so you will have to make do with a photo that I took while gassing up the car yesterday.

Squirl, I only caught that sunset because my camera was sitting on the seat of my car. The people at the gas station looked at me like I was nuts. heh

Ur-spo, whew...I'm finally done! I took some pictures of the super secret project and will post them after our Christmas celebration. I promise.

Thanks Jen, it snowed here tonight and the roads are crummy, but I'll get there somehow! Keep your fingers crossed, ok?

I cannot wait to see what the super secret is! And what a wonderful photo....looks like something you would see in a magazine!

Beautiful sky, but I can't stand the suspense! WHAAAT? are you up to?

Laurie! The picture is wonderful! - You are beautiful - so glad we've got a look at the creator of all the fun and pretty thoughts and pictures.

We are nuts, yes we are. But happy nuts. Keep that camera with you, Laurie. I once was traveling on I-77 (raceway in Charlotte) and took a shot of the city skyline. Afterwards, I thought, "that was not a smart thing to do. I must be nuts."

Gina, thanks! I might need it. Darned icy roads. Sure glad I have new tires!

Threecollie, glad you like the photo. I guess if you removed the Exxon sign it would be even better...lol!

Cathy, I took pictures of the super secret and will post them after our Christmas. As for the picture of me, it was taken a year or so ago with a friends old digital. My hair is longer and greyer. I don't like having my picture taken at all, but will let my son take a couple this weekend and if I don't break the camera, I'll post one of those. The picture I'm using now doesn't seem to want to stay posted (probably making the host site sick--haha).

Mary, I have been told that I'm nuts. I stop in traffic (I pull over, I promise) and once stood in the middle of a busy downtown street in Denver to get just the right shot. It's fun being nuts tho!

lovely sunset. I don't want to know the secret. I don't want to die!

Somehow, in Montana, a truckstop or rest stop is always inviting. Maybe the hazards of travel have to do with it, in wintertime. I love the comfort of sky here. ~ Bonita

Laurie! Thanks for the link love! Nice picture of you.

I love when the sky is that color.

Reverand, I promise you won't die. The secret will be revealed on Saturday!

Bonita, I agree. I usually go to Town Pumps and they are all pretty similar, so it's like being home (kinda).

Mslittlepea, it was a truly enjoyable moment after a very busy day.

By the way, I made it safely to my destination today. The roads weren't bad at all!

Ha! So the real DFMGMMMM (you know...Laurie) reveals herself with a profile pic!

Nice shot...always nice to match a face to a name.

Surely hope that this big Christmas celebration is everything you hoped it to be.

Merry Christmas!

Thanks WW, I know it will be. All I really want is to be together, if only for a couple of days.

As for the picture, it's over a year old (and done on a friend's old digital camera...about a .5 megapixel, which works in my favor--heh) and my hair is longer. Not much else has changed though. I'll probably post something newer after our Christmas. :-D

Kind, thoughtful, pretty. You look like you look.

I like the gas station photo. It suggests transit, freedom, civilization peripheralized but available.

dmmgmfm said...

Joe, thank you, that was very sweet.

Nick, I am having a wonderful time. It's the best Christmas we've had since my mother passed away. I hope things are improving for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
