My Son Reads My Blog Every Night

Most nights, I get a call from my son as he drives home from work. We visit about work and our plans for the evening (like I've got plans--ha!). It's often the highpoint of my day, as you can imagine.

Tonight there was no call. Nothing...nada....diddly....butkuss.

I waited patiently, thinking surely he would call.

Not one who likes to be idle, I played with my new scanner/faxer/copier/thingy.

I think I'll be getting that call pretty soon, what do you think?

You seem to be making rather good use of your waiting time.

Yep, I would say that call should come in any minute now.

AC, I do, don't I.

Ur-spo, I saved a few aces for next time.

Cuppa, You are so right. He called about 5 minutes after he got home from work.

SO not fair, You know this means war! I will have to grab my pictures of you I have hidden in absarokee when I visit!

Hidden pictures? OMG, not the "witch pics" or the "morning after 4 night shifts" photos? I would pay good money for them NEVER to see the light of day. Please son, pretty pulease? How much? I got your check right here...

Wolf:

Yes, start your own blog and post those pictures of your mom!

Laurie:

Great pix of him...and did he not call but just post to your blog? Bad, bad, form...

WW, Please don't encourage him. I've already wired him a large sum of money to keep those photos hidden.

By the way, he did call. He's a good son, one in a million, make that a zillion (and yes I'm sucking up so he won't post those horrible pictures).

Love, Love, Love this one....love all the baby pictures. Love that your son calls you everyday...Love that he blackmails you with pictures.

I think we're cut from the same mold, you and me. I hope *HOPE* I'm just as blessed when my boys are adults!

I'm with ya, wolf - dethpicable!

(you might hold off retaliating though, long as your hidden pics are turning a profit)

From the looks of these photos, I bet you gave him lots of big squeezes, tickles, and hugs. Do we ever get all of them out? I know I have an endless supply, just waiting.

Oh my gosh, what an adorable face!!! I say good on 'im to blackmail you though -- I keep blackmail pics of people I know, too!

Kristen, I am honored that you think I am cut from the same mold as you!

Joe, Thanks for the support, I think. ;-)

Bonita, We did spend a lot of time hugging and snuggling when he was little. He’s still very generous with his hugs and I am very thankful for that. Do we ever get all of them out? No way!

Courtney, Isn’t he just the cutest thing? But you really shouldn’t encourage him in the blackmail department. :-|

sweet pictures Laurie.

And even sweeter is your relationship.

It totally warms my heart on this cold, cold night.

My son is my best friend in the universe KC. He tells me I'm his too, but he's probably just being nice. He's like that.

My daughter calls me every morning while I'm getting ready for work. She's already on her way. I get irritated, being in a hurry, but if she didn't call...I'd wait.

I'm glad he called. Love he photos! LOL!

Mary, He called again tonight. He knows I have many, many more pictures to scan. It's good to be the mom. ;-D

Butterfly, He was such a sweet, loveable, cuddly kid and you know what...he still is. :-)

What a cutie! If these pictures don't convince him that he was the light of your heart - nothing will. From the sounds of it - the two of you are blessed with a truly loving relationship - augmented by generous good-natured teasing. As good as it gets.

We do have an awesome relationship Cathy, I am truly blessed.

Your son is officially a cutie.

(I found you through...Oh, Hell. I can't remember.)

Susan, he is cute inside and out. We have so much fun when we're together that my face aches from laughing. He's a tonic, as my mom used to say. Thanks for stopping by!

Very cute pics...I take that your son is "Wolf"...very funny. Thanks for dropping by my blog.

Steve, you are correct. His proper name is Nels, after my maternal grandpa, but his friends all call him Wolf and they've got me doing it too.
