It's a Beautiful Mornin'

He Who Doesn't Do Dishes called me this morning as I was getting ready to go to work. He said I had to step out and see the sunrise. I'm sure glad I did. I hope you enjoy the photo. For some reason it brought to mind the lyrics of this song by The Young Rascals, who are most certainly The Old Rascals by now.

It's a beautiful mornin', Ahhh,
I think I'll go outside a while,
An jus' smile.
Just take in some clean fresh air, boy!
Ain't no sense in stayin' inside
If the weather's fine an' you got the time.
It's your chance to wake up and plan another brand new day.
Either way,
It's a beautiful mornin', Ahhh,
Each bird keeps singin' his own song.
So long!
I've got to be on my way, now.
Ain't no fun just hangin' around,
I've got to cover ground, you couldn't keep me down.
It just ain't no good if the sun shines
When you're still inside,
Shouldn't hide, still inside, shouldn't hide,
Ahhhh..Oh! (shouldn't hide) Ah, ah, Oh.....(Do, do, Waaa) (Do, do, Waaa)
There will be children with robins and flowers;
Sunshine caresses each new waking hour.
Seems to me that the people keep seeing
More and more each day, gotta say, lead the way,
It's okay, Wednesday, Thursday, it's okay,
(Ahhh) Monday, Wednesday, Friday, weekday, Ah, Ah, Ohhh.(Do, do, Waaa)Ah, Ah, Oh, Oh, (Do, Do - Aaaa)
Wooooo oo oo oh, oh, oh, Ah wo, do, waa
Ohhhhhhh.....Oh, Oh, Oh, .....

That definitely IS a beautiful sunrise, Laura...as is that old song by the Rascals.

Thanks.

Nick, I sparkled all day just thinking about it.

WW, I'm glad you like it. I brought my camera to work hoping that the sunset would be equally spectacular, but I guess I'm only allotted one fantastic sun event per day.

Oh wow! That's worth getting out of bed for. Someday you're going to tell us about 'he who does not do dishes - I'm thinking my husband has a twin in Montana :0D

Aren't those lyrics fun?
" . . children with robins and flowers " - Still many many weeks away for us - but the thought is nice.

Cathy, So THAT'S where HWDDD's brother lives. I had wondered.

Wolf (aka son), I hope you do start posting more often. Your camera takes awesome pictures and I'd love to see more of your adventures.

Squirl, What a way to start the day, eh?

Ur-spo, It was a fabulous day in every single way! Thanks for asking. :-)

He could almost be forgiven for not doing the dishes -- at least for one day.

AC, I don't mind doing dishes, but don't tell anyone, ok? ;-)

Chani, I'm glad you like the photo. I have so much fun taking pictures, it's nice knowing someone besides me likes looking at them.

Mslittlepea, That is another excellent song! Next time I see an amazing sunrise, that song will come to mind, I'm sure. Thanks!

Thanks Threecollie. I'm here in beautiful Absarokee. The dial-up internet is so slow right now I can't post the pictures I took on my way here, but I'll try again later.
