Because I am trying to get ready for a watershed meeting tomorrow night, an administrator’s meeting on Thursday and our annual banquet on Sunday, I have decided to let the furkids post on my blog tonight.
Views and opinions expressed in this post do not necessarily reflect those of the blog author.

The story of cats...so true. Isn't it a nice release of tension to concentrate on the life of cats? So silly, soothing, and lowering of blood pressure on our hearts. I just took a deep sigh of relief. Keep those funny captiosn coming, Laurie. It's a gift.
Surely, you reward them with abundant affection for all these tricks! Mine just sleep.
Mary, they are pure joy to have around (except at 2 am when they think its playtime--okay, they are pretty fun then too).
Bonita, I have one that would spend all day and half the night fetching balls if my arm were up to it. The others nap quite a bit. And to be honest, I do dote on them, just a bit.
Oh how I miss having a cat ...
Carol, I promise to keep posting kitty pictures for you (and my brother). Or would you like to (long-distance) adopt one of them? I could send you weekly photos and updates on how they are doing! It would be like having a cat without having to clean the catbox(es).
ohoh
cats taking over for the writer
ugly trend
insidious and subtle, cats stop at nothing and pretty soon the author will'disappear' i just knows it.
watch your back
happily, my cat is dumb as a tree stump and can't use the lap top.
Laurie, these are terrific...blogging furballs! My Siamese is pretty sexy, too, even at 17.
They are too cute!! Why don't yours pee in the sink and drool when i give meds to keep them from stinking up the house? Huh, why!!! YOU got the perfect kitties!!! ;)
they are not all yours
My cat dates the duster too.
ur-spo, they do a better job of it than I do most of the time.
Pam, I bet your cat is beautiful, Siamese usually are. We had a cat that lived to be 21!
Butteryfly, they are perfect on screen, real life is a different story.
Anonymous, yes they are. We have 6 total.
Mist, wonder what it is about dusters?
I love the cat toy depository...very cute.
They look so healthily fed. I love those kitties!
The, "are you going to throw my ball or just stare at it all day," describes one of mine perfectly. Maddy taught me to play fetch, and I get that look all the time. She's not a talkative cat, but if I don't pick up her pink pig quick enough she says A LOT.
I miss having Siamese cats.
And our oldest cat is 22 and still kickin'. Demanding ol' bird she is, too! :)
I'm smiling again. I wanna know how long it takes you to anchor those hilarious captions. I could work for a week and lay one egg after another. Also - I love the concept of 'watershed'. So I'm guessing your conservation district covers a certain drainage area? I don't know what I'm talking about, but your field sounds so solidly anchored in earthy things.

Steve, I'm not sure why they do that, but there are always at least a couple of balls and a cat toy or two in there.
Littlepea, we call them voluptuous. ;-)
Courtney, I am so glad to hear how long and well lived your cat is. Here's to 22 more!
I think cats like to write a post every now and then because they get to play with the mouse!!!!!!!
Cuppa, how true and how funny!
Cathy, our Conservation District actually works with 3 watershed groups right now. I am the coordinator for one of them and may soon take over as interum for another. It's good work and I love it.
As for the captions, they pretty much write themselves. I'm glad you enjoy them.
I love the pictures!
The black ones look like my Smokey. And he deposits his mouseys in his feed too,and sometimes even in his water.
