Dog vs Cats

I"ve got quite a lot to do tonight to get ready to go to my meeting tomorrow. I'm going to dad's from there, so tonight you won't get anything profound (like that's something new), I'm just going to pass along this fun email I got today.

If you want someone who will bring you the paper without first tearing it apart to remove the sports section...........

then get a dog.

If you want someone willing to make a fool of himself simply over the joy of seeing you........

then get a dog.

If you want someone who will eat whatever you put in front of him and never says it's not quite as good as his mother made it ......

then get a dog.

If you want someone always willing to go out, at any hour, for as long and wherever you want......

then get a dog.

If you want someone who will never touch the remote, doesn't care about football, and can sit next to you as you watch romantic movies......

then get a dog.

If you want someone who is content to get up on your bed just to warm your feet and whom you can push off if he snores ......

then get a dog.

If you want someone who never criticizes what you do, doesn't care if you are pretty or ugly, fat or thin, young or old, who acts as if every word you say is especially worthy of listening to, and loves you unconditionally, perpetually.....

then get a dog.

But, on the other hand, if you want someone who will never come when you call, ignores you totally when you come home, leaves hair all over the place, walks all over you, runs around all night and only comes home to eat and sleep, and acts as if your entire existence is solely to ensure his happiness.....

then get a cat!

And NO, the cats do not know I posted this.

Squirl, I'm glad you like! My cats aren't too impressed with me right now. I guess you could say I'm in the dog house. ;-)

WW, I knew you would like this one...dog lover that you are.

If only I knew then what I know now!

The cats are currently tearing it up in my abode as I type. *shaking head*

Thank you for reminding me why I love my dog so much.

Butterfly, so are mine. They've knocked the suround sound speakers off of the coffee table, disrupted all the rugs in the kitchen and knocked over their cat tree. And it's not even 11 pm. Sigh.

Ur-spo, I am going to my dad's this weekend to get my puppy fix. I am very excited but shhhh, don't tell the cats.

Laura, and your bunnies! Don't forget your bunnies. They are soooo cute!

Okay, now I'm in hysterics. That picture of the cat just killed me!

Gotta love those dogs, Laurie! Being a cat lover also, I wholeheartedly agree with the last line illustrated by the photo. LOL!

Pam, such a funny kitty picture (and so like a cat), I had to post it.

Mary, it's so true. Only one of ours goes outside, I stand at the door and call and call and call...then after I give up and sit down, she scratches on the window to be let in.

I love other people's dogs, but I don't know if I would like the bother of having my own, and Rocks is great company and very little trouble.

AC, I love my cats too! I was just giving equal time to a couple of my friends who are d-o-g lovers. :)

Cats are quieter.... But those puppies are just adorable.

Bless you, Laurie, this is exactly what I needed today! Yes, I do want to adopt one of your cats. This has made my day.

Cute! You better watch out if your kitties find out about this!

Cats are okay, but I am all dog person...so of course I agree completely!

Naturewoman, I'm glad you figured it out! You are so right about cats having attitude, and once in awhile they have attitude toward one another. Then it gets really funny at my house.

DH, I seem to recall you being attracted to bad boys. ;-)

Bonita, I love dogs too. I dote on the neighbor dog and my brother's dog, but I still miss having one in the house.

Carol, when I get home, I'll post pictures of all of them and let you choose one. :) It takes a village (to raise a cat) you know....

Mspea, I think they might have guessed it, I woke up in the night to find one of them nibbling on my toe!

Threecollie, your dogs are beautiful!!

Oh that pic of the cat is tooooo funny. Giggle, chuckle, gaffaw! Love it.

I mustn't let Rocky see it though, it will only give him ideas and he has enough of his own already! We can't have a salty snack without him begging for a tiny morsel, and he has been known to walk on the remote and change the channel, but so far we have kept Pepsi a secret!

Right now he is in the closet looking for a pile of clean clothes to nap on! Only clean ones will do donchaknow?

dmmgmfm said...

Cuppa, my little darlings always head straight for the clean clothes for a nap. Better yet if they are fresh from the dryer and warm. Sounds like your Rocky is quite a character.
