Chocolate chip cookie, no, not chocolate, chocolate chip...
and no I didn't just ruin one.
Cinnamon Rolls...
and that was their good side.
Ta Da! (or not--I let them raise too long and moments after this photo was taken, they fell flat)
My dad bought this bumper sticker for my mom and it fit her to a tee. She wasn't the best of drivers, especially later in life. Obviously, she never put it on her car, so I photoshopped it to fit me.

Ah, wonderful! Real home cooking! Those pics remind me of my mom's cooking. (That why I began learning to cook when I was 10 years old). :)
Wow! you have a knack for uniqueness. I love the food with a different perspective
I don't bake often and when I do, it's usually out of a package. When it comes to chocolate chip cookies, we like them just the way you made them! My husband insists that I burn the edges to black on at least a dozen. Good job!
Nick, my brother's a really good cook, so at least no one starves there.
Dave, thank you, I have been told I'm slightly off center. :)
Mary, my loved slightly burnt everything until he got dentures. Now it has to be ultra-soft and I haven't quite gotten the knack yet.
My better half says that there's a difference between cooking and baking. Many cooks can't bake and vice versa. I don't bake.
I like Chocolate Chip cookies with burned edges too. These look especially yummy to me!
The cinnamon rolls just have personality and I bet they tasted delicious.
There's not a single item there I wouldn't eat. I'm afraid I never met anything baked I didn't like, no matter what it looked like.
AC, unfortunately, I can't do either very well, although I am a better cook than baker.
Cuppa, they were a bit hard...in fact I think my brother chipped a tooth but he was too nice to say.
Jock, my brother is like that too. He'll always eat what I bake, no matter how mangled it is.
I can almost smell those cinnamon rolls. Cinnamony, yeasty, warm little indulgences. What good fortune you have in your kitchen.
HA! I hate cookies so I wasn't offended. But the rolls looked good anyway- both. The last ones-are they butter rolls? They do look good.
My grandmother could NOT cook and she used to pass off grocery store fried chicken as her own for years! I do that with cupcakes-yes,I learn from my elders.
Those Cinnamon rolls still look delicious! And don't worry everybody has their cooking disasters. I can't bake bread or rolls to save my life, although I have been trying for years! I can make a kick-ars stew though!
Bonita, I love that smell too.
Littlepea, the last photo is of frozen Rhodes brand dinner rolls. All you do is put them on a cookie sheet. I can't even do pre-prepared well. I guess the recommended rise time wasn't a suggestion after all.
DH, I'm glad I'm not the only one that can't bake! I do make a pretty good home-made chicken noodle soup, though.
OH, my. You have the same cook book as me!
Butterfly, do you think we can get our money back?
Laurie - I'm drooling. It's particularly those cinnamon rolls - they brought back memories of my parents working together in the kitchen and turning out pan-fulls of these. Hadn't thought of that in years. You are special.
Um, hello? those look great to me. Clearly made from scatch and with love!
Bam! Or whatever that wotshisname weisenheimer from New Orleans says.
Looks pretty good to me, Laurie.
Cathy, my dad said they were really good. But he might have been exaggerating. How neat that your parents made them together.
KC, they were definitely made with love.
WW, thanks, you are way too kind.
Hey, those cinnamon rolls look a lot like a coffe cake I baked one Easter.
Pam, do you have the same cookbook as Butterfly Girl and I do? ;-)
Yummy. Where do I line up for a bite? There is no baking in my home unless I crack a box of Bisquick to make something myself, so I am jealous of whoever gets to eat your baking. At least you try!
Hi dmmgmfm
Oh! This made me laugh so much. This adds another side to your joyful character. The "Uff Da!" bumper sticker brings me back to my Wisconsin roots.
Atavist, it's fun to bake for my dad. He gets a good chuckle out of the results and usually it's edible as well.
Potatoprint, my mom was full-blood Norwegian, so the term Uff Da was used a lot in our house.
whoa. you know, a bit of frosting and those cinnamon rolls are all good, sister.
My brownies are good in the middle, but the ones along the edge sometimes end up burned. This middle are definitely edible. I can bake but I don't, because I'd eat it if I baked it.
Jen, that's what I did and they ate every one of them.
Squirl, I never bake at home for fear that I'd eat it (no matter how awful it looks).
these are great!
Derek, you might not say that if you had to eat them. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
